Letter Puzzle - Singular Figure:
In these types of questions, letters embedded in geometrical figures are given, where one of the letters is missing.
To solve letter puzzle questions, first assign a numeral value to each letter, which is letter's alphabetic position in alphabet series.
Use the acronym EJOTY to find the numerical value of the letters
E- 5; J-10; O-15; T-20; Y-25;
Example : What will come in the place of ?
(1) K (2) L (3) I (4) M
Answer: (3)
Solution : First of all, assign a numeral value to each letter which is letter's alphabetic position in alphabet series.
Add numeral value of both letters which are opposite to each other.
As the sum of place values of opposite letters is 16, we can find the place value using the given method. Let the unknown be x:
G + ? =
G + x = 16,
7 + x = 16;
x = 7, which is 7
